Student Leadership Zone

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our brilliant school, we are the Head Boy and Girl and we are supported by our Year 3 deputies.

We are Oliver Lawley and Esme Clarke and we are the Head Boy and Head Girl of 2019 - 2020.  We had to get through two rounds to achieve this role. First, we had to do a presentation to our class and to the student parliament to be shortlisted for the final vote.  Then, as one of the final three, we presented a speech to the whole school.  The whole school voted (all staff and all pupils) and we were lucky to get the most votes.  Mrs Philp said she was so proud of all of us, so the other finalists are going to become Heads of House. Our deputies are Tyler Lynch and Maisie Lawley, in Year 3, and we are sure that they will be really helpful in supporting us and stepping up if needed.

The voting also meant we could revisit one of our British Values; we had an assembly on parliament and democracy.

As Head Boy and Girl, we often represent the school, doing tours for visitors, meeting visitors, being at events and presenting in really important Award Assemblies or at our church services.  We attend Student Parliament, but a bit like the queen, we don't vote.  We can (and always do) give ideas and suggestions.

Thank you
